Was this couple alluded to in the characters of the Landlord and Landlady in Stephen Chow's movie, Kung-Fu Hustle?
I don't know. I'll confess that I never saw the movie.
If you have yet to see any of his movies, both Kung-Fu Hustle and Sholin Soccer were among the best. Both as homages to the great Kung-Fu movies and Chow's sense of humor.
