I agree there is a blurb somewhere mid book that suggests he's not dead, but there is truly no discussion of how Matt ended up just moving into Mia's without any problems from Matt - like apparently Mia didn't have to sell her house or pay alimony or worry about him killing himself or anything
Valid opinion but seemed like an omission to me.
