I have recently purchased the Sookie Stackhouse Series myself and have not yet read them. I loved the TV show and was wondering Summer's opinion to the comment..."Books are always better than the movie" .....I loved the show and wondered your comparion on the book verses movie. I will be reading soon!

The books are so much better. The show didn't stay true to the books. Unfortunately, after the second or third season I stopped watching because we stopped HBO. The show is still good, just strayed away from the books. @Melonie

Melonie I also thought the books were better than the show. I did enjoy the show but I started watching the show as something completely different than the books because it did start to evolve into it's own story line. But the books, I highly recommend them, I loved being submerged into Sookie's world.

@Melonie I adore the books ... I've watched all of the True Blood seasons as well (I own them, actually) but the books are special... it is actually hard to choose in this case though, HBO did a fantastic job.. BUT I've never watched a show/movie that was better than the book and I believe that is still the case here! enjoy the book series, I guarantee you will revisit them again in the future😊
