Do you enjoy the fact that you are left wondering though?... For me I couldnt put the book down, but now that I got to the end I'm a bit dissappointed...
If by interesting you mean, frustrating, then yes.
Arlene, this is a very good point. This is exactly what the author wants. That we wonder.
I like that, it makes you think about it even when you've already finished reading the book.
Just an idea... He put the key in the model house so she'd know he left the stone in the grotto.
But she specifically went down into the kennel grotto at high tide and returned something to water.
totally agree, this ambiguity of the ending parallels that of the book Marie-Laure was reading
it is no coincidence that the book she was reading was 20,000 leagues under the sea. Everything so well planned by the author
