If it weren't for my tablet, I wouldn't be able to read books anymore... arthritis makes it painful to hold a book open and turn pages. Plus I love the ability to have thousands of books on one very portable device. :)
@ Morgan: precisely. I prop my tablet up against a small triangular cushion on my lap, so I don't even have to hold it.

I was given a Nook (Barnes & Noble) as a gift, and primarily used it ony when traveling, as opposed to packing lots of books. However I recently got it out for the Penric novellas and later some Jen Minkman YA books, and am still reading stuff I've had on it for a few years and never got to. I still have a sneaking love for 'real' books, though - just haven't bought any new ones lately that I didn't devour on sight.
