Personally, I think the addition of The Bastard to the pantheon of the five gods is sheer genius for so many reasons. It was such a delight when someone somewhere pointed out "the thumb touches the other four fingers."
You can get the other four to touch each other but it takes a little doing, and maybe a cramp :-) . What the thumb excels at, though, is the ability to touch each of the others one by one, easily. Not to mention the grip.
