Sorry to play necromancer (reviving ancient threads), but I was wondering where to find the quote about "nothing worth doing...".

I think it's an Ekaterin one, but searches in obvious places hasn't found it.

I believe it is somewhere in The Sharing Knife, so you won't find it in the VK books. The Vorkosigans don't get all the good lines...

Let us know where you find it. Iirc is is Fawn quoting something her Pa said to her, but I wouldn't swear to it.

I'll go ahead and fill in details: Passage, chapter 23. Berry is saying her pa used to say that in response to Whit being unhappy about practicing archery after the big bandit fight.

Aha. I knew it was somebody's Pa; Berry's makes way more sense than Fawn's.
