I think the trilogy had been ended in the most perfect way, but I would LOVE a prequel! Maybe some big glimpses of Jaron and his family. :)
I think there shouldn't be another book. It ended perfectly. If there was another though, I would want it to be about Jaron, like the other books, not his kids or something. But I prefer no more books at all, even though they are my favourite...Well, thats my opinion anyway.
If you did write a fourth book, Ascendance Cycle would be better than Ascendance Quartet.
Also, if you don't want to write another on Jaron, you could write spin-off books (the life of Amarinda or Fink or Roden or even Darius)
Like books not specifically tied to the Trilogy but in the same world with the same characters at the same time and events. There is a absence of Roden for some time during Runaway King and it would be good to find out what he was getting up to at sea.
