Grant But it seems like with magic it is less of him learning more about magic and more about him learning more science and using that understanding to enhance his magic. Just about all of his major breakthroughs in magic since orb have been him using magic in a new way due to something he learned about science. When is he going to try and learn the things about magic he has been ignoring like making his spells as efficient as possible or making potions.

Garon Whited You mean he's thinking like a scientist who just got magic powers instead of a magician being trained in the sciences?

Grant Exactly. If he ever wants to use his powers to fullest he needs to learn to think like both, otherwise he is hobbling himself.

Garon Whited Sucks to have blind spots, doesn't it?

Grant It just makes him more human and enjoyable to watch. Seeing him being forced to confront his blind spots and grow from it, or acknowledging them and then ignore them just for them to come back to bite him like the Tommen situation, is one of the things I have enjoyed most over the course of Erick's journey.
