Alex Shrugged Your books, at least the ones I have read, leave me feeling better after I have read them. That is "great" enough for me.

Judy R. I find as I get old(er) that ordinary adventure, even SF, writing doesn't interest me. Your characters are complex and interesting, not predictable by me at least. So, although I have faith in the author not to leave me feeling sad at the end ("He dies, she dies, everybody dies"), it's really pleasurable anticipation to be kept guessing how it all works out, with personalities, important events, multiple cultural backgrounds well thought out and logically interacting.

Susan I have all of your books, and they are the ones I reread most often. (Followed closely by Terry Pratchett!) Being rereadable is a 'great' book in my vocabulary.
