This is actually really great advice!
I'm a complete nobody, but this is the biggest lesson I took away from Harry Potter - JKR was SO GOOD at hiding foreshadowing as jokes/worldbuilding. She always seemed to know how to hide critical information in a way that you'd remember it but not realize it's setting up something later.
