I suppose those characters are ones I’d not befriend in the real world. As I think about your explanation about character driven traits, I realize that some of the books with a lot if sex didn’t bother me at all! The knot tying art, when done to (or on) a female character didn’t bother me at all, even though “bondage” is a huge turn off to me. This speaks to your fantastic ability as a writer to evoke different emotions in your readers when reading the same story. Either way, I love your writing and, should a character’s sexual appetite, ego or treatment if his woman pisses me off too much, I’ll skip over it. 😉
