I was actually referring to power and species. Just about anyone is capable of horrible things if pushed to far and most of them aren't able to nuke cities with little more than a two minute pep talk and a bowling ball. I was giving such extreme examples mainly because I think it would take something like that to get Erik to fight rather than flight. Like he said in the first book, Erik simply can't be moved to action like this unless he can FEEL someone's death so he is insanely hard to motivate into a fight. We are literally talking about a guy who personally finds in easier to move to another universe than care about the vampire who molatived his house for no reason. Which, unfortunately, is why we haven't really got to see Erik fight long term for something he cares about in an Earth world against supernatural forces. It is still something I think would add great dimensions to his character though and be something spectacular to see.
