Yes, blurbs are important, and an eagle-eyed editor is important, too.
I might add that I use my daughter as an editor. Her name is Lisa Garrigues, but not the one who has a book about "Writing Motherhood." So now she goes by Lisa Gale Garrigues to differentiate herself. Check us out at www.CityDeskPublishing.com. (She does my website, too.)
