We dive into books of all kinds — fiction, nonfiction, thrillers, and everything in between — and bring our own personalities into every discussion. Instead of stars, we rate our reads on a scale of 1 to PHAT — because when a book is that good, it deserves more than just five stars.

[close] Hey there!! Are you interested in Japanese literature, culture, or the like? Feel free to join the group if you want to share & get recommendations for Japanese media, want to connect with others with similar interests, discuss your finds and current reads. We’ll also be doing monthly challenges in groups where you can have fun, log in the Japanese books you’re reading, and compete with other groups - if that’s of interest to you, of course! On that note, welcome to the Moon Over Kyoto group, my dears! 🫶 RULES 1. You MUST be at the age between 16 - 35 years old to join this group. 2. This group is for anyone who love Japanese Literature. 3. Be respectful, no cursing, no using racial slurs, or other inappropriate language. If we notice you using such language, you will be asked/forced to be removed from the group immediately. 4. There will be 3 BOTM’s a month, you can pick one or three to read for that month. Voting for the next month’s BOTM’s will open halfway through the month. 5. You need to fill out this form: https://forms.gle/EYDdBMoiFA7f3HD68, to be sorted into a Moon House! 6. Once sorted into the house, you can catalog your reading based on the prompts given (with points) 7. Whichever house wins at the end of the month, would get the chance to decide one BOTM for the next month and their win will be recorded. 8.
