50x66 Great review Viviana! I really liked the first quote you put in your review because it demonstrates how well Katniss has developed as a character throughout the books. I've only seen the movie and haven't read the book yet, but I think the book must be ten times better.

50x66 Great review Jennifer! I have also read and know the The Summer I Turned Pretty is a great book. If this novel is similar to it, then it must also be a really great book, and no, I would not make out with a boy in a hot tub!

Eve and Adam (4 new)
Apr 27, 2015 10:47PM

50x66 "It's the fate of all creators: They fall in love with their creations." The science fiction novel called Eve and Adam, by Michael Grant and Katherine Applegate, is about a girl named Evening and her project to create the perfect boy, Adam, in her mother's research facility. I really enjoyed this book because it talks about a lot of futuristic technology and medical devices and Eve's process to create Adam is very interesting as well as their relationship. I recommend this book to people of the ages 13 and up. Other books written by Michael Grant are the Gone book series. “Observant, smart, and unencumbered by emotion, this is a tasty read that readers will devour in a flash.”―Publishers Weekly.

50x66 Amazing review Jennifer! This book sounds very interesting and I can't believe someone would do something like that to a young girl. This demonstrates why it is important to be a good listener and understand the people around you.

50x66 "Moments, when lost, can't be found again. They're just gone." The Summer I Turned Pretty, by Jenny Han, is about a young girl named Belly who goes to spend her summer at a family friend’s beach house, and during that summer her life is completely turned around as everything becomes wonderful, yet terrible. I personally liked this book and thought it was very interesting and realistic because it talks about a lot of teenage conflicts. The Summer I Turned pretty is part of a trilogy that also includes the following books: It's not Summer Without You and We'll Always Have Summer. I recommend this book to girls of ages 13 and up."The Summer I Turned Pretty offers a hard-to-resist combination -- a beach house, summer love, enduring friendship. A deliciously sweet read." -- Deb Caletti, author of Honey, Baby, Sweetheart and Wild Roses.

50x66 I think it would be interesting to read about someone's perspective on life with a totally different situation from ours. This is a great review and the book seems very interesting!

Feb 15, 2015 09:14PM

50x66 "As long as we don't die, this is gonna be one hell of a story." Paper Towns, by John Green, is about a boy named Quentin who has loved his friend Margo from a distance and got a chance to get closer to her when she asked him to join her on a sequence of revenge missions. I recommend this novel to people of ages 13 and up. Paper Towns has become one of my favorite books because it is full of humor along with a lot of mysterious and exciting adventures. I also like that it's based in a teen environment. It appeared as number 5 on the New York Times bestseller list for children's books and was awarded the 2009 Edgar Award for best young adult novel. Other books written by John Green are The Fault in Our Stars and An Abundance of Katherines.

50x66 Imagine yourself always living with the thought of fear, the thought of always being chased down and being taken away one day for death. The novel called Room In the Heart, by Sonia Levitin, is written in many perspectives and us about a young girl named Julie who is frightened of being seperated from her family during the Holocaust while a young boy named Niels is plotting a rescue for Danish Jews. I personally thought the topic of the book is very sad because it take ms place in the Holocaust, but it gives you an idea of what it was like to be in their position so the same thing never occurs again. I recommend this book to people of ages 12 and up. Sonia Levitin also wrote The Cure, Incident of Loring Groves, and Yesterday's Child. She has also won the National Jewish Book Award.

50x66 "Anybody else wanna pee their pants and cry for mommy?"The Scorch Trials , by James Dashner, is about a group of teenagers, reffered to as Gladers, that are now entering a second phase to their challenge after escape ing a maze they were imprisoned in. This book is part of a trilogy which also includes the novels called The Maze Runner and The Death Cure. I recommend this book to people of ages 12 and up. I personally think this is a great and suspenseful book full of actions, but you will have to read The Maze Runner first to understand the plot. "Reader's will be on the edge of their seats with this thrilling story, and it also makes a great match for fans of The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins."- VOYA.

Bodeen is about a young girl named Robie who is struggling to survive on a raft, after her plane lands in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. I personally think this book is really interesting because it describes difficult situations I couldn't imagine myself being in. I recommend this book to boys and girls of the ages 12 and up. 50x66 I think that it's also important that boys read it too so that they can realize what has very commonly happened to girls throughout human history.
