1176148 The Archbeaver of Canterbury by Jonathan Maas

I am spending July catching up. Mostly with books I won in March. The only one I might consider a summer read is supposed be a bawdy humor mashup so I am going with The Archbeaver of Canterbury. I might need a few summer adult beverages to go with it. 🍹🧃🧋🍻

Same for me, went into Nothing expecting nothing…then pleasantly surprised.

1176148 Epic Fantasy

FYI I consider myself an average reader and I have no idea what micro histories or Grimdark are (I can make an educated guess)
Then again I was off GR and came back to the horrible term Romatacy…

1176148 Just finishe Girl in Pieces by Kathleen Glasgow Girl in Pieces by Kathleen Glasgow

It is banned in many libraries, especially schools. I can see why some would want to restrict it in high schools. It follows a 17 yr old girl through some very difficult and graphic situations. It should have trigger warnings for many things, the main focus is on girls but applies to boys as well. Definitely worth the read for me and I understand restrictions for young readers but not a ban on the book. Too many young people suffer from these issues and if fiction helps with awareness or healing (knowing they are not alone) then keep it on the shelves.

Jelena, both of these are on my TBR and hopefully they will be fun early summer reads.
