1176148 Mid year check in! Been a pretty good reading year so far. I'm making my way through the list and may or may not get to all of them. I also read for a book club and sometimes get squirrley and want to read something spontaneous or new, but I'm further on the list than I was last year. Reading The Nightingale right now and so far it is excellent.

Some other ones I've read this year: I Who Have Never Known Men by Jacqueline Harpman (bleak), Chaos by Tom O'Neill (impressive), Fierce Intimacy by Terry Real (inspiring), Believe by Jeremy Egner (disappointing), The Paradise Problem by Christina Lauren (fun), Good Talk by Mira Jacob (thought-provoking).

Happy reading friends!

Thanks so much Lea! I just finished Evelyn Hugo and really enjoyed it. I have heard that about a Little Life. There was a whole tik tok craze for a minute with people sobbing, lol. I don't mind depressing so much if it's good.

1176148 Matilda! ❤️ what a wonderful story
1176148 Love this idea. But why do we procrastinate on these?! Maybe high expectations? Reading Seven Husbands now and so far so good. I read Where the Crawdads Sing and it was excellent in my opinion, but do NOT watch the movie, UGH! Water for Elephants is on my TBR. Sad to hear about God of the Woods, was looking forward to that one.
