118012 I've just finished The Inverted World by Christopher Priest. I did not know anything about the book before I started. It was a mind-bending read-I loved it!

118012 What did you think of the book, Brenda?

118012 Thanks for the info, Brenda. You had a good reading month for this topic.

118012 It's time to explore other worlds and other times-by reading our genres Science Fiction or Dystopias.
You can include short stories for this challenge, not just novels.

I'm a Nirvana fan.

118012 It's a wonderful book but probably impossible to find. It was published in German in 1956. One other person on goodreads has read the book and also gave it five stars. There were lots of quotes from his letters to Theo.
My husband and I were in France in May on a tour and went to Arles. The tour guide showed us all the places having to do with Vincent. He had such a hard life and created such beautiful art.

118012 I'm reading a biography of Vincent van Gogh in German-Die Sonne von Arles. It has some sketches and copies of his paintings scattered throughout the book.

118012 Goodreads messed up, Susy. This is the only one-now. Thanks for spotting the mistake!

118012 Our August genres are memoirs, biographies and travel.

Happy reading, everyone!

118012 I'm reading Rufus M. by Eleanor Estes, the third book in the Moffats series.
They're a lot of fun.

118012 Welcome, Noa. It sounds like a fun challenge. I'm in the group Around the World in 80 books. It's got a lot of book lists from countries all around the world.
If you let me know a few countries you need books for, I'll be glad to give you some recommendations.

118012 I've only read a couple of the Just William books-they're funny!

118012 I've just finished The Rolling Stones, one of the juvenile books written by Robert A. Heinlein in 1952.
It was okay, but not as good as his other juveniles.

118012 It's hard to believe that the year is almost half over!

The genres for July are Children's and YA books.

Maybe it's time to revisit some childhood favourites-or discover some new favourites.

Happy relaxing reading, everyone!

118012 I finished a horror/fantasy called The Were-Wolf by Clemence Housman.
It was written in 1896 and is a novella. It's fast-paced and worth reading.
