50x66 Hello BA, Steve, and John! Thanks for joining.

To BA: I’d love to add your work to the shelf, please follow the instructions on Feedback Requests to include the information if you want to add your book to the group.

To Steve: we are only in the fiction genre, sorry. I assume there are other groups that read non-fiction and you would get much more traction there. Good luck!

To John: if you go to ‘Your Books’, you will see a list of the books you’ve added. Next to the book, is an ‘edit’ button. Click that and you can change the ‘shelf’ to ‘to-read’ if you want to read it later. If you don’t want to read the book at all, instead of clicking ‘edit’ you can just click the ‘x’ and it will delete the book from your section.
To fill out the feedback form, you can list your name and book title under 1. If you don’t fill it out fully, I can also message you and get the information needed.

50x66 Very cool! Yea the two characters of the Sendyne empire that you introduce at the end of Book 1 are very interesting so I’m glad to hear that they are featured even more in book 2.

It sounds like A Sword of the Three Rivers was wild, but chaotic, exploration for a much younger you that you detailed over 7 years. That makes me curious, how long did it take to write book 2 and how long, assuming you finish book 3 later this year, will that one have taken?

50x66 As a book is featured, I’ll post a topic here for the book. I’d love it if the author would be open to discussing the book with us and answering questions.

50x66 Hey Seth, I’ve finished my very enjoyable read of A Sword of the Three Rivers and will review it soon! Here are some questions I’d love your thoughts on.

How did the idea of this book come to you?

You mention there’s more to come, and you’ve already written a sequel I believe. What are your plans for the series?

I liked the strange gladiator game they played for their wager - is that based on an actual gladiator event or did you make it all up?

50x66 Thanks for joining Lynn! We’ve got a few readers who have joined who have expressed interest in fantasy. Please feel free to add a book or two of yours on the feedback request and I’ll add it to the bookshelf. I gradually work through the books there, giving one at a time a spot on the currently reading list which features it on the front of the group to make it more accessible to the other readers to view.

50x66 Hey Susanne, this book definitely sounds interesting. I do think the blurb is a little too long. With so many details, it’s hard to keep track of everything. I think you could reduce this to 2 paragraphs and make it much more compelling by not revealing too much. Below, I’ve just copied your blurb but cut out the middle parts and rearranged a bit to illustrate what I mean:

Elizabeth Reading and Scarlett Harding travel to Blue Harbor, Maine, hoping to purchase a bed-and-breakfast in a peaceful town. After settling in, they visit a local ice cream parlor where a man dies in a pool of blood at Elizabeth's feet. Elizabeth packs her bags to leave, but Scarlett pleads with her to keep the appointment at the inn. The next day, they fall in love with the quaint inn and sign the papers, despite Elizabeth's misgivings.

After they move in, they hear rumors of a curse. And of residents dying in unusual circumstances. On their first weekend as innkeepers, a violent storm hits. Two guests are slashed to death in their beds. As Elizabeth and Scarlett struggle to survive, they search for answers to the growing pile of bodies, but what they discover is much more sinister…

50x66 I will be cycling through the books that have been posted in the Feedback Request folder. As I personally read through the book, I will put it on the ‘Currently Reading’ folder of the bookshelf which will feature the book on the main page of this group.

I read daily and have a minimum goal pace of 20 pages/day. Thus, each book will be featured by the following formula: total pages/20. This will give how many days it will approximately take me to read the book. I will then round that up to the next week.

For example: 165 page book —> 165/20 = 8.25 days —> round up to 2 weeks on the ‘Currently Reading’ section to feature the book.

Note: this will be capped at 4 weeks (which would roughly equate to a 600 page book so not that common).

I will be selecting the books in order they are submitted with one MAJOR caveat. If I see that a member has been active and reviewed other people’s books and posted their review as a reply to the initial review request, and then this generous author submits their own book - they will be bumped to the top of the list. This is meant, in some small way, to reward people who help others in this group.

50x66 Hey all! I’m deciding on a book cover for my epic fantasy and am torn by some designs which all look so good. I’d really appreciate any of your thoughts on which cover seems most appealing. Here’s the link to view the designs: https://99designs.com/contests/poll/9...

Some context: it’s an epic fantasy (found family off to save the world). The two characters you’ll see are a man, the Shadow Spinner who can control Shadows, and N’Halia, a young woman who uses Lightning.

Thanks for your feedback!

50x66 Wow, the character art of the locations for Through Hell and Highwater is crazy realistic! I’m excited to read and will add it to the group bookshelf.

50x66 Thanks for joining Nicole!

I read her book, “Conquer Stress” today and enjoyed it a lot! As she said, it is a nonfiction work, but it deals with info we can all benefit from. Plus she advocates guided imagery to relax which is half of coming up with fantasy books anyway!
