There were many. I agree with Geoffrey, "Killers of the Flower Moon" was great but I would have read that anyway. My favorites were the great books that I would not have read without this club. "Packing for Mars" was one., "Dune" was another.
What I take away are the friendships with the other participants. And really wanting to know what so and so thought about this book or whosit thought about that one. The group usually gave me a better understanding of some of the books. I liked that.

I really enjoyed the book. I did find it at the library here. It was a fast read and yes the art really added to the story, I felt. See you all Wednesday.

I just finished book 2. I enjoyed the book. Someone asked at the discussion if the sheriff had a thing for Constance. It mentions that in book 2. And Constance says, no he is just that nice to everyone. So I guess, she noticed that it was a maybe. I just started book 3.

I plan on being there. I really enjoyed the book. In fact this is one of the top 10 favorites from this club.

I will not be able to attend on the third Wednesday as I have a prior commitment. Unfortunately, I made that so I could attend on the second Wednesday. I may read the books anyway. We will see.
Lucy wrote: "A great story, read it last yr. We missed you this month, Teresa -- did you two have a great time in Paris?"We had a wonderful time. I will bring pictures.

What is iour new book? for November?

There were only 3 of us and unfortunately, we did not get to get skype with Kenny. We really wanted to have his outlook on the discussion. But we did have a nice one and had a couple of thinking moments. We all agreed that the book was to long and there was a lot that could have been left out without diminishing the book. It was a nice discussion.

I will be there to talk about it. I finished it but it felt like I would never finish it. It was way to long. I think you could have had the same impressions in 100 pages less

Congrats Kenny, I would go if I was there. Glad to know you are getting involved in the community to make it feel like home. I be not be able to be at the meeting next month either. I will be out of town.

I didn't realize it was not filmed on Guernsey. But I agree the setting was perfect. Just what I thought it would look like.

I just watched the movies of this on Netflix. We read this I think when Lucy was the leader of the book club. I really enjoyed the movie.
Cheryl wrote: "Yes, I had got it from the city library early on. Returned it. I see 6 copies of the book available at the city library. I had not realized until I started reading this that the author also wrote T..."I read the Lost City of Z and enjoyed it. But I didn't realize it was the same author.

This does make you angry, and it keeps you that way.

Yes swing by and I will be ready, Thanks

Anne had asked me earlier, and I already have stuff.

I finished that chapter about the same time as you did Lucy, You can see something bad coming, but I am not sure what.
