Hi all,
I won't be able to attend this Wednesday. See you all in January!

I plan to attend. It really brought to attention how women were treated then without anyone even thinking it was wrong. This book is the first of a series so I think it's setting up for future books. I'll let you know as the next one is waiting for me at the library!
Lucy wrote: "Zach, Anne and all - it makes sense to leave the Discourse. .. group active until we've finished the rest of this year's bks. But also desirable to get a new Genre Blender group up and running.
He..."I agree with Lucy. It'll be easier to attract new members.

See you all tonight again, finally! It'll be interesting discussing the book as a hurricane heads towards Florida. I was hot and sticky the whole time I read this book. The heat and humidity really came through the writing.

I'm not going to make it this month. Lots of traveling and houseguests. It's all wonderful, but I haven't been reading much.
See you all soon!

I just returned my copy. I left it at Schafly. It’ll show up at Charing Cross in a few days, I’d assume.

Congratulations to you and your family, Anne! I got a copy of The Power (Charing Cross Branch) and I'm really liking it. It's empowering.

I’d love both! Smooth sailing to you and the baby!

I just got in line for the Power. I may just buy it!

I will not be there tonight. The move and a 10 day trip to Chicago have put me behind. I thought it was Travis's book group tonight and haven't read that book, either!

I have an slpl copy coming to the library for me.

I just finished my copy and will return it to Schafly this weekend.

Sorry, I can't make it. I do have the book for next week. It's a good read.

Hi gang,
I'm sorry I missed the last discussion. What's our next book? Will we meet at Vino Gallery at 6 again? Thanks

HI all-I’m in Dallas. My flight is running a bit late so if I can get to bookgroup by 6:30 I’ll still come.

Thanks for taking this on, Anne.

Sorry I couldn't make book group last week. I liked most of the essays. The ones about movies got a bit long for me. But, they weren't written to be read all at the same time, so it helped to remember that. I like her writing style a lot.
What's the next book and where are we meeting? Should we each find the book on our own?

I'm enjoying the books, also. The added detail compared to the movie is really good. It's always that way with books turned into movies, I guess.

I can't be there tonight. I didn't finish the book, although I thought there were some really funny phrases. I think I need more plot.

I'm looking forward to seeing the group tonight.
