I read Daughter of Smoke and Bone a few years ago and loved it! The beginning is a bit slow going, but you have to keep reading -- give it time :)

Same same same! She's such a strong character! One of my all time favorites :)

Right!!! It was absolutely heartbreaking!! I think I literally threw the book on the ground and walked away from it. I couldn't handle it. Definitely made me want to read the second book even more.

Has anyone read book two yet???? I've been meaning to read the third one, but I haven't gotten around to it.

That is such a good point!! Why did they just shoot Michael?? Makes me want more backstory!
