177170 From what I understand, glass candles are some kind of Skype in this universe aren't they?
177170 OMFG did he or did he not get the Greyscale? The whole chapter was so boooring until the end, where I felt like, well, something interesting might happen after all, when they all arrive in Dorne. Good luck explaining yourself to the Sandsnakes, guys.
177170 @Randy sorry to break this down to you but this is the most boring chapter in the book SO FAR
177170 Alex Farrand wrote: "Oh Theon! I feel so bad. I hate you Ramsey you psychopath. I hope there will be some good for Theon here."

I'm still several chapters behind but I'm like caught up in some other books right now so I kinda read your small comments as a mini-synopsis for what's about to happen in the upcoming chapters lol I'll probably catch up with you in a couple of days so thanks for the heads-up!
177170 Not sure if I like this whore-oriented version of Tyrion. Dude was hated by all of Westeros already, why does he have to degrade himself so low that the readers (outside of his universe) would hate him as well?
177170 The only thing I got from this chapter is that I get to choose only one; onion or apple.
177170 The important question that we need to ask: Ramsay Bolton, did he or did he not castrate our poor Theon?

And then poof! Jeyne Poole has just instantly replaced Reek as the most pitiful character in Westeros right now. *opens umbrella waiting for the shitstorm to fall*
177170 I still couldn't get over the fact that Daario has like blue beard, yellow mustache and golden teeth. I mean, not even Jared Leto could pull it off with that look. In the end Khaleesi is just this teenage girl who fell for a weird, edgy looking guy while going through her puberty. She's just all of us lol
177170 Alex Farrand wrote: "And Wylla? I feel like she is important, but I can't recall why. Ned's fling? Is that it?"

Wylla was supposed to be Jon's mother according to a sorry ass story Ned had come up with after coming back from the war with an infant in his arms. Wylla was also Edric Dayne's wet nurse (as he told Arya that he and Jon were "milk brothers" in ASOS)
177170 "Take his head, rather," suggested Ser Jared. "Or let him meet me on the field of honor."
"What would a Frey know of honor?" Davos threw back.

I like Davos a lot. Another great chapter with lots of information. I wonder why Wylla had such strong loyalty toward the Starks (reminds me of Lyanna Mormont). The Freys are just a bunch of shitheads and because of what they'd done in this chapter I don't feel bad for Lady Stoneheart's "hang-them-all" campaign on their behalf anymore.

177170 I'm pretty OK with their decision on having the show and the books going on separate ways. It's not like they made the show 100% similar to the content in the book or anything anyway (e.g. that sorry thing they've done with the Sandsnakes).

It's only fair to let the show continues without having to wait for GRRM because I don't think the show business can stall for too long, I mean for example the guy who portrays Bran is probably growing 5 inches taller right now as we speak.

Let the show runs without waiting might be a bit complicated but it's better than having nothing at all and just put all our hopes in the hands of GRRM, who's getting dangerously older as we speak. Don't wanna be a heartless bastard here but anything could happen these days, guys.
177170 Great chapter!!! it's revealed a lot of huh? information. Not only now that we have Fake Arya, we also have Jon Connington and supposedly (Fake?) Aegon to worry about as well...I knew there's something fishy about Griff and his men, I knew it!
177170 I like the way Jon insisted that Sansa was still a rightful heir of Winterfell no matter how Stannis tried to make it otherwise. Also I was a bit taken aback by how much Jon knew about the Northerners and the lands, like whoa! where did you learn all these stuff somehow it kinda made me missed Ned and Maester Luwin, they were great guys.
177170 Alex Farrand wrote: "You don't like Dany so much do you Siya. Lol."

lol Dany's fine I guess, but I'm not sure I like the way her journey has turned out. I mean, Martin has rid old characters from the story (Jorah, the bloodriders, Daario) and then repeatedly introduced new characters (I don't really care about) into her storyline. It's been 5 volumes and she doesn't even know much about Westeros, which was supposed to be her priority. I find that a bit annoying.
177170 It's just that if she went to Westeros now then the timing wasn't right. GRRM needs to clear up things in Westeros for a bit in order to give Dany a grand entrance she deserves.

Also I was yawning so hard reading this chapter like omg I almost didn't make it. *sigh* My jaw hurts.
177170 Poor guy being super loyal to Stannis. Nothing much from this chapter, really (like I don't see where would this whole thing lead to). At least there's mention of Dany like it's quite obvious that more people becoming aware of her existence and her activities. But nothing much really.
177170 blehhh I wonder what does that milksteak of him taste like.

BTW, this chapter was kinda cool. It seems GRRM's fast-paced, action-packed, mystery-clad writing style has been restored (thank God), say goodbye to the textbook of yawn that was AFFC. The endings of each chapters were amazing so far. Including this one!

Great introduction to a new character. Also refreshing to finally meet "Children of the Forest" that's been mentioned since Old Nan still had her screentime lol I think this won't be the last of Cold Hands...I'm sure his true identity will be somewhat shocking once revealed.
177170 ok what an actual f*** happened to Theon? His hair turned white and he looked like an old man (he's like 20)?. It was really a bit hard to read. Disturbing as hell. UGH.

Also, I wonder who that Fake Arya was...
177170 Well I did hate Dany for a little bit there when she dissed the Starks. You know even less than Jon Snow, really, girl.
177170
Inside his cage, Mance Rayder clawed at the noose about his neck with bound hands and screamed incoherently of treachery and witchery, denying his kingship, denying his people, denying his name. denying all that he had ever been. He shrieked for mercy and cursed the red woman and began to laugh hysterically.

pfff If that's not the most out-of-character thing any characters in this universe ever did, I don't know what is. Of course there's something behind Mance's death. Mark my word for it.
