I'm currently in the editing phase of The Alpha-Nina (book #2 in The Feminina Series- https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...). But in the meantime, I need some help!
I'm trying to get more reviews for the first book in the series, The Infinite-Infinite (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...) ahead of the second book launch.
If you haven't read or listened to The Infinite-Infinite yet, you can claim a code to listen to the audiobook (https://storyoriginapp.com/.../0b4407......) or read the book for FREE (https://storyoriginapp.com/.../e2f9b2......) ! All I ask in return is that you leave a review.
Sound good?
Thank you for your help!! 🙂

Thank you!

Thanks!
MK

Has this been done before by anyone in the group? Is it allowed? Are any risks associated with this? What could trip me up in this process?
On my reviews for the collection of short stories, people say that they like the other stories in the collection, but that they love the last one. That story also happens to be the longest, qualifying it as a novella.
Any insights on this?
Appreciate any and all insight from the group. Thank you!
MK

Thanks Anna! If you have a specific genre that you would want, let me know and I can get that up!

I was able to secure an Amazon Merch account to make book-cover tees and other merchandise to support my novels. I was playing around and made a shirt for 'Subversive Writers.' I realized that others might want to sport a "Romance Writer" or 'Sci-Fi Writer" tee.
If anyone is interested in purchasing a Genre Tee please let me know. I'll put up the most popular responses first. Below is the link to the current one so you can see what they look like:

Thank you,

Hi Mary,
I like a lot of that depends on the methods that you use and whether you decide to employ a voice actor or whether you decide to set up your own recording equipment. You can request a quote from the voice actor that I am working with here: https://www.voices.com/people/lmichkn

Hi Denise,
Agreed, if this friend wasn't trying to break into the business I probably wouldn't be getting the fair rate that I am getting. I am hoping to do a bit of a cost/benefit analysis after the audiobook launches to give other authors an idea of how well it was received. Obviously, each book is different, but if my learning experience can help others that is always nice.
I would still suggest reaching out and getting a quote. Then you will at least have something to work against as far as funds needed and a break-even point on sales to justify the investment.

Yes, she just set up an account on Voices, com, you can request a quote based on the length of the book here: https://www.voices.com/people/lmichkn

As an indie author I have been so lucky to have friends and fellow creatives support my efforts. One of my good friends who has built a multi-decade career as an actress has started to do her own voice recordings. As a fellow book lover she offered to read my latest book and record it. If you or any other indie authors are looking to have you book recorded as an audiobook I would highly recommend her work. You can listed to a sample here:

If you like what you hear and want to work with her you can send her an email at lisamknegron@gmail.com
Best of luck out there indies!

1. Read through manuscript to help break writers block on final 5 chapters
2. Set up next post on Facebook page to engage with fans
Good luck everyone!

That is my worst fear, that I'll spend years working on a story, have it perfect, then someone in passing will say "oh that sounds just like X."

One of my mystery/thrillers is titled House of Cards, but the subtitle, Dead Men Tell No Tales, will distinguish it from others of the same ti..."
Wow, that is too funny. I was planning on a subtitle which could differentiate. I'll keep that in mind. Thank you!

I didn't even know that title generators existed, there goes another hour of my writing time today...

I'd love to participate in the next blog-go-round. What details do you need from me?"
Great! Just submitted, thank you!
