I agree with Matt about the Kill Artist. Another option I will throw out there is The Unlikely Spy by Silva. it is a stand alone, his first novel... Thoughts?

Steve, my bad I only saw Kill Zone in your post and thought David Hagberg. I do want to read the swanson series but have not yet. I have read the first 3 or 4 in the Graves series and like them alot. I have to catch up....2 or 3 behind.

how about the latest one from Tom Wood - No Tomorrow.

I would definitely be on board for By Order Of The President. I like all the ideas so far, but this is the only series mentioned I haven't read yet. Lol

Mitch Rapp is coming back. Kyle Mills will be taking over the RAPP series. The Survivor will be finished by Mills and released in the fall of 2015. Mills has signed a 3 book deal. I will be reading some of Mills offerings. I do not expect the future Rapp stories to be as good as the late great Vince Flynn but I hope Mills can continue the series to keep us entertained.

I read most of the authors mentioned above. Flynn is my favorite. I am re-reading them thus year. i also agree with lou. I mix it up with history. David Hagberg is one author I didn't see mentioned. I enjoyed the books I've read.

head over to @rappbookclub for the vince flynn re-read. starting this month with term limits. we will be reading a book a month for 13 months and be able to discuss. 68 followers so far. check it out.

I'm pretty sure I heard Thor say he was working on books in both series for release in 2014

steven konkoly black flagged series is pretty good

have you tried the primal series by jack silkstone

more bad news for vince flynn fans. the survivor postponed indefinitely. the book is not complete. same goes for the collaboration with brian haig.

I heard the bad news while listening to Glenn Beck this morning. I was shocked because I thought he was doing better. I look forward to his books every fall. I'm gonna miss that.

Today we lost a great author, a great patriot, and a great man. RIP VINCE FLYNN

yes I have read berenson. good but not great.

hey lou, I am also in law enforcement and can't read the detective/lawyer stuff either. I have read all the authors you have mentioned and like them all. Brad Thor is a notch below flynn (everyone is in my opinion) but still excellent reads.
there are some other similar authors with not as many books if you want to try them first. Brad Taylor, Ben Coes. Each have thier 4th book coming out this summer. I'm not sure if I made your choice more difficult.

Hey George I would love to check out your book but $8.99!!! That seems a little steep. Most new authors sell their ebooks for about a quarter of that. Don't get me wrong I know you and your publisher are trying to make a profit. However considering a reader can purchase a Tom Clancy or Vince Flynn book for the same price with thousands of positive reviews on this site. Well you seem like a smart guy, I'm sure you know what the reader will buy. Just my two cents. I widh you the best of luck and will continue to monitor the price.

mitch rapp series will continue (new one out by christmas 2013) flynn's new book out in may 13 is a collaboration with brian haig. I heard flynn in a recent interview that he has no plans ending the rapp series anytime soon.

all new series from flynn starts in may. he is co-writing with Brian Haig.
