I do miss the civil and intelligent discussions here--I miss youse guys!
I'd like to promise that I'll check in more frequently, but I've learned not to promise anything, beyond a willingness to try.
I hope you're all well and thriving! Having skimmed the messages, it seems that is mostly the case. :-)

OH, I'm so glad to see this. I hope it's all worked out well!

The last thing I watched that I really really loved was https://www.netflix.com/title/81748580
Oh, and if you're a Golden Age mystery fan, there's a YouTube channel called Summation Gathering, which I find very relaxing

Two years ago, I got back in touch with my two former college (and later) roommates. We hadn't spoken in nearly 30 years! Now we text each other almost daily, and a couple of months ago, my sister (who was also a college suitemate/roommate) and I actually got together with one of them. It was like we had never been apart! There was a lot of news to catch up on! :-)

2 - NO KINGS protests
3 - Marlowe and Spenser sitting in a tree b-a-r-k-I-N-G (particularly Spenser -- we have squirrels in the trees behind our house, and he is NOT happy).
4 - Summer. I've had a very unhealthy year, but summer is here again, and I've committed to swimming daily, eating with the intent to nourish and fuel versus grabbing the first thing available, and getting enough sleep.
5 - Clearing out and reorganizing our personal library. We've so far donated 16 boxes of books to our local library!

and every book in the Holmes & Moriarity series is $2.99 each
Same deal with Bedknobs and Broomsticks series.
(and there may be others -- I'm losing track!)

Those series are:
Secrets and Scrabble
The Adrien English Mysteries
Holmes & Moriarity

The crime plot was actually inspired by true events (as so many of my plots are these days):

There's a very interesting documentary on (I think) Netflix. Fascinating.
As for forgiveness... Not everyone is able to forgive even the most minimal of slights. And on the other side of the scale, we have Jesus Christ. I like to think most of us fall somewhere in the middle.
I think being able to forgive a genuine wrong is a sign of someone who is both brutally realistic and truly capable of unconditional love. I can't say that that's me, but it's something I aspire to.

I would love to, but have no idea how; I'm really struggling with the excursions. I'll ask Rich."
You and me both, sister! LOL LB Gregg and I are poring over the list of readers trying to figure out how to invite people.

With ONE exception:

OH. Sign up for the cabana we're hosting!!!

Yes. I really am hostile to this idea of one's granchildren--I'm thinking specifically of Christie here--deciding to overrule your explicit wishes, and hand over your characters to a writer you did not choose in order to continue a series you did not want continued.
I find myself increasingly opposed to the notions of inheritance and extended copyright.

I do recall enjoying the Kraychiks. I remember reviewing several for I Love a Mystery (I was their gay fiction reviewer--that was like a million years ago!) Anyway, I quit reviewing--and even reading much--when I started writing my own stuff again, which sadly is quite common.
