Tower Teams has ended!!

This has been an awesome team - I've really enjoyed being on it. I felt like people were reading so much and so many really interesting books. I enjoyed reading our chatter on our thread too.

The captains will be working on totaling up the points, and we'll let you know the standings :)

Jhmingos, I see that you are reading The Books of Jacob - I'd be really interested to hear what you think about it. It was very different for me. I kept the book because I think I'll read parts of it again to get a better idea of some of the details.

One book left to finish....

😆 I have a soft spot for Velveeta- it melts perfectly (no drips!) and Cheese wiz- grew up on that stuff. A gateway to other cheese. But I’m not sure trying it as an adult is a recommendation!

Within this section, we learn more about the dappleglass. What about the dappleglass do you find realistic? What is unrealistic about this plant?

Were you expecting the answer to the mystery as Ana revealed it?

What were some of your favorite parts of the book? Was there anything you would have changed?

Part III Chapters 13-20

9. Were on the move now and hearing more of the environment. Are you able to imagine the world and How do you feel about the mix of genres - fantasy, sci-fi, mystery?

I'm understanding the rings better. I have an image of the sea walls, and the third ring walls, but not as detailed as I'd like. I should probably re-read. I love the mix of genres!

10. Were seeing Ana showcasing her skills and abilities more and seeing Ana and Din interact even more. Have your thoughts changed about them and what secrets do you think Ana and Din is hiding from one another if any?

There is something about Ana's abilities that seems fishy. I'm not sure why her abilities affect her sensitivities so much. I don't hear about any other in their leagues retreating from the world. I'm not sure if that's her abilities or just something about her. I'd like her even more if it was just about her. Din is just hiding his reading abilities, I think? But maybe more?

11. Knowing this is book one and we probably wont get much how are you imagining the Leviathans so far? What is your closest comparison to what they may be/look like? I imagine a giant sea slug - but it's probably a lot more scary. Although I really don't like slugs.
