I struggle with audiobooks because it becomes so easy for me to tune audio to the back of my mind and stop paying attention.

It's not particularly active anymore, but it takes place after the series.

I started a book over winter break and still haven't finished it. It's just sitting on my desk, half-read.

If I was reading any books than that's exactly what I would be doing. But I don't know the last time I finished a book.

The grootslang regarded them for another moment before beginning to move towards them. "Food," it repeated, only this time it wasn't a question, it was a statement.

"Definitely food if we don't move," Darius said, the pitch of his voice having gone up half an octave. "We need to move." He still didn't want to give up the compass - and doubted Drew would be willing to - so he made the decision for the group and hoped they would go along with it.

"Geminio," he whispered, pointing his want at the compass in Drew's hand. A second compass appeared and Darius caught it before it hit the ground, grinning at Katie and Drew before turning to the grootslang.

"Not food," he said loudly, sounding more confident than he felt. "We have a gift for you."

((I. THOUGHT. I. ANSWERED.))

Darius shrugged at Katie's question, his blue eyes wide. "It could be valuable once we're out of here," he countered. "And maybe the thing would be surprised by a new shiny toy and we could run away fast enough?" It was a long shot and he knew it, but he wasn't sure giving it up would work anyway.

"No idea," he said in response to Drew. "But maybe we should make a decision soon."

The whispering of the trio had finally started to attract the attention of the grootslang, who was turning to look at them now. It cocked its head to the side and looked at them as if unsure whether they were a threat or a tasty new snack. "Food?" it asked, its voice a deep growl that seemed to shake the cave.

That's pretty much how I feel daily, so I think it's a solid contribution.

Public relations! I still don't know exactly what I want to do with it, but I'm having fun leaning towards marketing related things.

Okay I think about that whenever I come back onto this group. I was in 8th grade when Robert and I started this thing. 8th grade. And now I'm going into my senior year of college. What da heck. How did I get here?

I’ve been good! School is...ya know, school. Figured out my major so that’s cool. I’ve got two internships this summer so it’s busy. Other than that there’s not much to tell.

I've never actually used discord, so I have no idea how it works. I've just heard of it before.

Clarissa turned, distracted by the noise of Drew flying into the goal post, and couldn't help but laugh when she saw what had happened.

"You alright over there?" she asked him, raising an eyebrow as she did so. She wasn't a stranger to flying into goal posts - she had done it, too. She just didn't usually fly into them when there weren't other people flying around the pitch.

Darius glared sideways at Drew, pursing his lips as he thought about what the boy said. "Because I like living, I'm more inclined to agree with Katie's plan," he admitted. "But, I also like valuable things, and giving away the compass seems like a waste."

He thought for a moment before fully looking at the boy, an eyebrow raised in question. "Do you think if we created a double it would be able to tell that we didn't give it the original?"

He turned to look at Drew, his brows furrowed as he gave Drew an incredulous look. "That thing has a mountain of treasure. I'm not convinced it'll be persuaded by a couple of sickles."

Darius watched warily as the boy stepped closer to the grootslang, and as Drew spoke he was convinced that they were all going to die. "How do you think we should go about that?"
