Potatoes & Rhubarb harvested here. Other items still growing, some very early

AI or not AI ideally for me not AI. Perhaps I am the dutch boy with his finger in the Dam.

Back from Spain, sadly 2 more family funerals this month. Weirdly in the garden Brussel sprouts are ready - taste trial as they are 3 months early.

Everyday it seems I am travelling a web ! Or is it the web ?

I am doing my best not to complain about the current heatwave we are experiencing. Have run out of rainwater for the garden.

Having finished the TV series I am now embarking on reading
The Handmaid's Tale - it's normally the other way round for me.

Where did half the year go !!

Hot in the UK, added some Dystopian fiction
Black Feathers by
Joseph D'Lacey

Happy Birthday (24 hours past !) M

Much crime fiction open at present:
Mari Hannah with
The Longest Goodbye, and back in 13th Century
Cassandra Clark :
The Red Velvet Turnshoe.

There are too many coincidences in my family ! Wading through admin but now at home, so getting some time in the garden and return of hobbies.

And reality is back, sadly Dad has passed away as I returned, but I have spoken to my cousins more today on the phone than ever before, albeit one call was accidental, my grip of technology proving to be tenuous. Straight on the grieving path to acceptance, like always. Busy times ahead trying to put at least 30 minutes away for reading per day.

Continuing with crime fiction set up in the North East. One series fading in its content or perhaps just surpassed in writing depth by the other. Now deciding what will come out to Spain.

Last full day in North Wales. Family been and gone - leaving a few more peaceful rural based days.

I am inducting carers for when I am away, even though my sister is expected to be here. Trying to be less controlling !!

There are 7 going to Wales ! Also .................... belongs in what am I doing !

Crime the order of the day from medieval through to modern day.
Abbes of Meaux
Hangman Blind to
M.S. Morris duo of one based in Oxford and one in Yorkshire. Also in the north, Northumberland
Mari Hannah.
Just left a book in the local pub as they have book 3 of a series and I have just read book one.
A Cavern of Black Ice

Slowly improving here (Dad's) but a long journey. Having a break in 2 weeks time to scatter the last of my wife's ashes on Snowdon (highest mountain in Wales).
Trying not to let my garden grow wild whilst mainly absent. The snails and/or slugs have enjoyed broad bean and chilli plants. Sweetcorn was crisped during a hot dry spell. So replanting needed. The Brussel Sprouts and Kale seemed to have survived and my lodger is feasting on fresh chives.

Currently looking after my Dad full time until I can arrange appropriate care for some regular breaks. A 92 year old child !
Reading at random when not responding to calls or washing !
