Here's an idea!!! Go take a movie that bombed already and remake that, then maybe it'll be better!!

Okay now, I’m having trouble finding this, but I did read last week in one article that in Kusama’s adaptation, she said that “..he [Dracula] will not be portrayed as the romantic hero that he has been in the past…”. (take that Francis Ford Copolla!)
I am all for this!!! I love the novel and I always saw a problem when it came to adapting the book to screen because we’ve never REALLY seen an absolutely accurate version of Bram Stoker’s novel before in film. Many people who go to read the book for the first time are shocked that it is so different from the movies. So I say, hell yeah, Kusama…give us a faithful film adaptation of the book…just don’t f*ck it up!!!

I did not know that "Vampires Don't Sparkle" was a YA Romance thread. Not my bag. I thought it was a thread promoting vampire books that were not YA Romance. My bad. I'm outta here."
"Vampires Don't Sparkle" is not a YA romance thread, but members are free to talk about YA books if they want. We hope you stick around, Cynthia.
If Crave is what you guys said it is, then I'll be skipping it.

I caught recent news that this vampire novel, Crave, is being developed into a movie. Critics are supposedly calling it the "Feminist Twilight". Now I have never read this book by Tracy Wolff, but I'm guessing they are calling it that because Twilight was panned as being misogynistic by many of the critics, literary scholors, feminists, and even fans, etc. From what I've read the plot consists of "a young girl finding herself caught in the center of waring paranormal factions and falling in love with a vampire prince". And if you look at the cover art, some
No, I think it's just another Twilight lampoon book. We should all know by now that there are many of those which feature rotten apples on the cover, etc. and a goofy story-lines. Again, I have not read the Tracy Wolff book, but I think that it it is just another one of those. I think the only difference here is that this one was not only taken seriously but was given movie rights.
Again, I feel like a novice discussing this, but if it is actually about a bad ass strong female lead with (to quote Negan from The Walking Dead, "some beach ball sized lady nuts!"), Also if it has some bad ass, scary NON-SPARKLY vampires in it, then not only will I see the movie, but I will check out the book.
Those are my final thoughts on this. What are yours??

I didn't see any of the advertisements on BBC but I thought it was going to be an adaptation of the book too. However I enjoyed it very much. I agree with you that the ending was weak. In fact, that entire third episode was weak in my opinion.
Oh, there might be a season two.

Dracula: The Evidence: Bram Stoker's novel as an interactive experience: a ..."
I think I saw something about that on Dacre Stoker's facebook page, but didn't know much about it. Sounds cool!

The comics go back to the seventies and beyond. I myself dislike reboots as well, however, I am remaining optimistic about this one.

A lot of Blade fans seem skeptical about this. Wesley Snipes However is telling them to "CHILLAX!". Although Snipes had wanted to return for a Blade 4 and 5, Snipes is now telling fans he's okay with the decision and trying to convince them to respect Marvel's decision and that he is overwhelmed with "the incredible outpouring of love and support".
I don't know much about Mahershala Ali, but it's so hard to imagine someone else filling those big shoes. What was cool about Wesley Snipes was not only was his personality and acting perfect for that character, but he knew all those martial arts.
And let's not forget how that Blade TV series ended up with Kirk "Sticky Fingaz" Jones as the daywalker (don't get me wrong, although it failed I liked that tv show and Sticky's performance).
What I'm really hoping for as a fan is a return to the original comic book material. Somewhat. The first three films tried to explain vampirism with science and steered clear of the supernatural while at the same time taking a not so known character and making him into more of a badass. So good that they incorporated the look, weapons, etc of the daywalker into the comic books after the movie.
Back to my point, what I would like to see is some of the supernatural terror of the original Tomb of Dracula series mixed with some of the awesome looks and modern ideas featured in the original three Blade films. Have him fight Dracula ( COUNT DRACULA not that
"Drake" character from Blade:Trinity). Make the vampires be hurt by holy water and crosses, have Blade use wooden stakes as well as garlic and silver bullets.
I just love the character and the material ( both film and comic book) so much that all I can do is keep my fingers crossed.

That's kind of dissapointing cause I thought that Dacre had stepped his game up a bit, however researching Bram Stoker's notes at that museum in Philly is no picnic, so I guess that counts as writing. Ian Holt is a screenwriter, so that's why you were not able to find anything by him. If what you say is true, J.D. Barker is an awesome storyteller, I'll have to check out his other stuff.
