Jenny Q I'm a Jamie Fraser girl, myself. But Rhett Butler's at the top of my list, too, and I love both of SKP's Llewelyns.

message 2: by Misfit (new)

Misfit Need some more voters, curious to see who will make the #1 spot.

message 3: by Nona (new)

Nona well of course all of Chadwicks men are hunks but I added a few favorites :}

message 4: by Misfit (new)

Misfit Of course. I see The Parfit Knight made it. That's on my to read pile somewhere.

message 5: by Nona (new)

Nona I guess I'm going to have to read these Outlander books to see what all the fuss is about....so many made the list that I'm now curious!

Jamie Fraser is my favorite red head in a kilt.

message 7: by Marg (new)

Marg Too hard to choose just one! Marshals, Llewellyn, Jamie, and Nathaniel from Into the Wilderness are just some of my favourites! Don't make me choose.

message 8: by Misfit (new)

Misfit Sawyer wrote: "Why am I not surprised to see so many Chadwick books on a list started by Misfit?! I have to admit, tho, nobody does a hero like Elizabeth does. I added a couple of Du Maurier books, these two we..."

Well of course, I love EC's heroes. Marg's right, it hard to chose but fun watching the votes, it's very close.

message 9: by Jenny (new)

Jenny Q ooh, I forgot about Nathaniel! Hunka Hunka!

message 10: by Misfit (new)

Misfit It's now tied, William and Llewllyn are neck and neck.

I'm the only Cyrano fan, huh?
(Anybody seen the Depardieu version? I haven't been able to get my hands on it.)

I'm with you Hayes! It's the nose coupled with such complete sincerity...

And such a good sense of humor linked with such linguistic dexterity!

message 14: by Nona (new)

Nona I had to add Raoul, I'm reading DotG now and my, my Raoul is a perfect young dashing hero.

message 15: by Valli (new)

Valli Oh, I'm in a dither! Do I vote for the hero of my girlhood, darling Rhett? Or, the man who flamed my womanly passion? William Marshall, hunky William Marshall, OMGheishawt William Marshall....

message 16: by Shannon (new)

Shannon Jamie Fraser.... =) I should wipe the smile off my face, but it's okay because no one is looking.

message 17: by Allie_oco (new)

Allie_oco Why would someone put vampires on the hunks in history list? Just curious...

message 18: by Misfit (new)

Misfit Allie wrote: "Why would someone put vampires on the hunks in history list? Just curious..."

That is odd. Susannah likes to keep the lists OT. Let's see what she says.

message 19: by Lindsey (new)

Lindsey William Marshal of course!

I love that cover of The Greatest Knight as well.

Susanna - Censored by GoodReads You want anything cleaned, Misfit?

message 21: by Misfit (new)

Misfit Susanna wrote: "You want anything cleaned, Misfit?"

Erm, how did that Twilight crap get on this list. Yes please, make it go away. #43 - #45 as well. I'll see if I need to alter the rules. Geez.

Susanna - Censored by GoodReads OK, I removed the Stephenie Meyers. Was there something else? The Harlan Coben and Lee Child?

message 23: by Misfit (new)

Misfit Susanna wrote: "OK, I removed the Stephenie Meyers. Was there something else? The Harlan Coben and Lee Child?"

Yes please plus the JR Ward. You watch though. Edward will be back :/

message 25: by Misfit (new)

Misfit thank you.

Susanna - Censored by GoodReads Nooooo problem.

message 27: by Autumn (new)

Autumn Trinity by Leon Uris. Connor Larkin, the 'hunkiest'.

message 28: by Nance (new)

Nance Alexander from The Bronze Horseman gets my vote. Can't wait until next year when the movie comes out!

message 29: by Laure (new)

Laure Estep Tough call between Robin Hood, in any incarnation, and Chadwick's William Marshal. Bad boy with a heart of gold or knight in shining armor? Can't I have both, lol?

Misfit Nance wrote: "Alexander from The Bronze Horseman gets my vote. Can't wait until next year when the movie comes out!"

What? A movie?

Laure, William Marshal gets my top vote anytime :)

Misfit,
Well, according to Paullina Simons' blog, she says that they are either "moving forward or going in a different direction". She is the one, though, that is writing the screenplay for the film. The movie might not be coming out next year, but it is in the works.

Check out her blog, http://paullinasimons.com/blog/ dated May 26,2011

message 32: by Misfit (new)

Misfit OK, the list creator here. How the hell did Control Switch On: The Untold Story Of The Most Powerful Man In The World-Ryan Moran-Who Shaped The Planet For Peace get on this list? I see there's an unknown book might need removing.

As for the Sandra Hill votes, I'm not going there. Please tell me it wasn't Karla or Rachel who voted.

message 38: by [deleted user] (last edited Jan 18, 2013 11:29AM) (new)

I...I would never! But technically it does qualify. >:D Though The Outlaw Viking is time travel. In which case, if that doesn't qualify, Outlander would have to get nixed too. ;)

I won't take them down anyway. I just had to chuckle over the additions. Besides, we could never remove Jamie from the list. He's still on top :)

Misfit Susanna wrote: "OK, I removed the Stephenie Meyers. Was there something else? The Harlan Coben and Lee Child?"

I'm thinking Control Switch On: The Untold Story Of The Most Powerful Man In The World-Ryan Moran-Who Shaped The Planet For Peace is on the wrong list.

Susanna - Censored by GoodReads Oh, sheesh, that one again? Will remove.

message 42: by Misfit (new)

Misfit Have you seen how many lists that book has been voted on? Oy veh.

Susanna - Censored by GoodReads Oh yeah; it's the principal reason I added it to Authors Behaving Badly.

He inspired me to a new shelf: Listopia spammer.

Susanna - Censored by GoodReads There are some persistent offenders out there.

message 46: by Caz (new)

Caz Okay, so who voted for Unknown Book 8005397?!

message 47: by [deleted user] (last edited Feb 13, 2013 12:48PM) (new)

Amazon gives the ASIN for that Unknown book as:

A ESCOLA [Board Book]
MIGUEL M.ABRAHAO (Author)

But another book listed under that "unknown" author is

War, Imperialism & Dissent (Documents on US Foreign Policy) by Robert Buzzanco (2005)

So who knows. Looks like a dumping ground of unknowns. O__o

Susanna - Censored by GoodReads It's a refugee from the Great Amazon Clearout a year ago. Could ask the person who voted for it what it is, I guess.

message 49: by Caz (new)

Caz I had to add Lymond to the list :)

(and I'm sure Misfit won't mind Luciano del Santi and Justin Ambrose going on there, too!)

Misfit Caz wrote: "I had to add Lymond to the list :)

I will go and vote for them.
