These covers are all so dramatic

To me, those covers are tacky and generic...

Yeah, they're all pretty much just a teenage girl looking miserable!

And wearing an intense like 18 th century dress. Ridiculous. These covers turn me away from reading these books

Hush, Hush is a cover has been already published! Not that I hate the cover, but it was published in 2009 :/ Still I like the covers because they are pretty. Oh and some others are previous to 2011. Like Nightshade is 2010, Fallen is 2009, and Cresendo and Torment are 2010. Still those covers are beautiful, but they shouldn't be in this list, yep. (I wonder why Mockingjay's in here now xD)

That's because these days many teenage girls are tacky and generic :)

if teenage girls like these covers then its their opinion. their choice doesn't mean they are tacky and generic.

Ok, well tacky is in my opinion. However, it does mean that they are generic

it's really hard to chose..most of them are really great!

Wow, you so many people are being rude here for no reason. If you don't like the covers, then its obviously not geared towards your demographic. No need to stereotype people for likeing something and wanting to read a good book. Gosh people its the 21st century. Stop being so closed minded and stereotypical!

It's fine that some of you don't like the covers, but not all of them are all tacky or whatever! Despite some of them being published in 2011, 2010, whatever, they are not tacky, generic, etc. They are really good covers, and even if it's your opinion, it's still a wrong one. And Cheryll, not all of these are focusing on vampires and such, they're all different. I look forward to seeing these books in 2011, C:

I like Wither personally and XVI is interesting as well. Really looking forward to Wither by Lauren DeStefano!! <3

April- No one here trashed anyone. They just gave their opinion on the chosen book covers. Why is okay to like them and agree with you, but not okay for anyone to dislike them. People should be encouraged to express their own opinion, even if it isn't yours.

Thats true but there is no need to say that anyone who likes these covers is tacky and generic thats an insult to anyone like myself who likes these covers so you should think about what you say before you write it.

You must not have read the comment that said that the people who like these covers are tacky and generic. That is not just stating an opinion that is trashing and insulting someone. If you don't like the covers state that, publishers need the feedback, but if you just want to hate, there is no need for that here.

Fallen by Lauren Kate has a gorgeous cover but the book was released in 2009 it shouldn't be on here :/

Uglies by Scott Westerfeld and A Great and Terrible Beauty and Rebel Angels by Libba Bray also should not be on here because these books came out a few years ago.

Wildwood Dancing also came out in 2007.

Can people please remember that this list is for books that will be released in 2011 and to not add books that have already been released?

I really do not understand why anybody would add books without cover to a beautiful covers list. There is nothing to see!

Wings, Clockwork Angel, The Dark Divine, Twilight, Just Listen, Matched, Blue Moon (Immortals #2), Linger, Shiver, City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1) and probably a few other books on this list have already been published.

First I don't understand why people can't follow instructions and second why people vote for books that should not be on the list in the first place. Though some people may not know but I'm sure a few do and vote anyway.

No, some of these are really pretty. I have no idea what you're saying at all. =T They sure catch my eye and make me want to read them. And some of these books are really good.

I agree with most of the comments on some of these book covers being tacky & generic but you must admit some of them are fabulous. As for people voting & adding books that are previous to 2011 they obviously didn't read the title *shrugs* i guess the maker of the list would have to remove them, i'm not sure if there's even a way to do so. But regardless just b/c some book covers are tacky doesn't mean the story is. The saying goes " don't judge a book by its cover" cliche i know *giggles* but hey most books are full of them.

Sisters Red and Wrapped are pretty (especially Wrapped, but the rest are blech. Most of these are YA novels, so I'm betting they're blech inside as well...

I love the #1 book right now! i read that book and i love the cover!

Would someone vote on a book that is not a teenager/young adult girl looking mopey? No offense intended, these are indeed lovely covers, but a non-mopey-girl one would be nice...

I don't know if any of you noticed, but these are all Young Adult books. At this point in our lives, we are all lost, confused princesses in our minds, and so book covers like these are going to appeal to us because we feel like we will be able to relate. And if you don't like them don't read them :P
If you read a book written for someone your age, then I'm sure those book covers will please you, just like these do for us.

No, I wasn't saying that the covers are bad or that the books are. I've read a lot of these, being a young adult myself, and like most of them.
