Omegaverse m/f Romance
Alpha/Beta/Omega or Alpha/Omega (occasionally Alpha/Beta) is a kink trope wherein some or all people have defined biological roles based on a hierarchical system, with the terms originating from animal behaviour research. There may be werewolf, knotting, or other animalistic elements involved, or the characters may be otherwise purely human.
Alphas are generally dominant and able to impregnate Omegas. Male Alphas usually have a knot when aroused.
Betas are subordinate to Alphas and may or may not be able to impregnate Omegas; in some fanworks Betas aren't present and the trope is known as Alpha/Omega, in others they take the role and functions of Omegas and Omegas aren't present. Betas are often presented as having "normal" human anatomy with none of the special attributes of Alphas or Omegas.
Omegas are generally lowest on the hierarchy (although in some fanworks Omegas are rare and prized). Male Omegas are self-lubricating and have the ability to become pregnant, sometimes referred to as being bred or mated. Lovers may form pair-bonds with a special connection with telepathic or empathetic qualities. Paired Alphas may be jealous and possessive of their mate, while the Omega may become submissive. Omegas and Alphas may go into heat and need to have sex; this may be the only time Omegas are fertile.

authors are humans too. they can't write books nonstop at the whims of their readers. maybe they also have personal problems, writer's block, other ideas, issues with their editors, with the book market. i have books for which i waited no less than 5 years. still loved them, was still happy, still waiting for sequels. an author is not a machine who writes at a reader's whim.

Simple solution don't publish until the book is complete. It's not fair to your readers to wait so long for a complete story.

Can i just say i hate this too and its become so rampart amongst authors.. from a business perspective i understand maximising income (1 story for the price of 2 or 3), but as a reader, this irks me. my solution is to wait for all 2/3 books to be out before even reading book 1. usually they do mention in the blurb if its a series or there's a cliffhanger.

Thank you for the support, I wasn’t trying to attack people but I just find it a bit frustrating reading half a book.

Initially, this was a concept in the omegaverse trope online when it first came about. Regardless of gender Alphas could impregnate omegas, though this is less of a standard now that the trope has developed in mainstream media. I want to say the novel Hide or Die has this in it, but it's been ages since I picked it up, I thought there was an author note at the beginning discussing biology in her world and how it more closely aligned with material online, but I might be misrepresenting that.
