Christina Getrost Ack! I've only read 4 of these so far! Looks like a great list and as soon as I've read more of them I'll vote. :-)

message 2: by Wendy (new)

Wendy Weird, I think someone took Catching Fire off this list. Not cool, guys. I'm not going to vote for it, but someone else, feel free to put it back on.

message 3: by Leigha (new)

Leigha The Chosen One needs to win The Printz 2010. It was 100 100% better than every book on this list.

message 4: by Anna (new)

Anna u guys r negative

message 5: by Sophie (new)

Sophie I took off a couple of books that weren't first published in 2009 and are therefore ineligible.

message 6: by Wendy (new)

Wendy You might know this already, Sophie, but just to make sure and for anyone else who might be reading this: books that were published in other countries in previous years but appeared in the US for the first time this year are eligible for the Printz. (Last year's winner, Jellicoe Road, was like that.) Not that I'm saying any of the books you took off were like that, because I know people keep voting for stuff like Virginia Woolf books, which are ineligible on multiple levels.

message 7: by Sophie (new)

Sophie Ah, I see. I'm pretty sure I didn't take off anything like that, but if I did, feel free to add them back, voters.

message 8: by Adam (new)

Adam Going Bovine has won.

message 9: by [deleted user] (last edited Aug 08, 2010 08:04PM) (new)

Winner 2010 Printz: Going Bovine
Honor books:
Charles and Emma: The Darwins’ Leap of Faith
The Monstrumologist
Punkzilla
Tales of the Madman Underground: An Historical Romance, 1973

Interesting that as of Aug. 08, 2010, no one has voted on one of the winners: Punkzilla. I didn't vote for it because I haven't read it yet.

I removed City of Bones, published 2007

message 10: by Katie (new)

Katie Does anyone monitor this list? I know the award has already been decided, there's a lot of randomness going on. The Giver? Where the Red Fern Grows? Can the random juvenile books be deleted?
