I added Treasure Island. It's coming this summer.

Can anyone tell me how to know in advance when a new book is added to this collection? I always seem to see a new book after the fact and end up missing a book because they sell out.

There is a Jules Verne Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea in Penguin Classic HArdback - but it's not the same editions as Puffin Clothbound Classics.

Me too! I've been looking for it for ages and now I can't even find it at all. I wish they would print it again.

There is Oliver Twist in Penguing Clothbound Classics - in white cover. But the image you posted does look like Puffin! So maybe!

I'm confused as to why they didn't print as many Grimms' Fairy Tales as the rest of the clothbound classics? I've been looking for a copy for years, and I'm unlikely to ever find one. Can you say where you found the one priced in the hundreds? I can't find it at all.

I t was a few years back - I think maybe two years back - on Abe. After that I havent seen them recently.

I found few copies in affordable price range on Abe Books but they never ship to my country! They only ship to US / UK and never to my country unfortunately. And by the time I email the sellers to ask whether they consider shipping to me - they usually are sold out. Literally in few minutes. I'll continue the search - but if it's true that they will no longer publish books in the series (instead have a line with new covers) I think it will be even harder to find some reasonably priced copies.

There is a Little Prince coming out in September 2020 but I think it may be in the new cover.

Since they are still Puffin CC, albeit a new line (as commented by Katie in Nov 2019 upthread), I think they can and should be be included in this list.

I'll adjust the description with a reference link; please don't delete the books for now but everyone feel free to have a discussion on whether you agree.

I agree they should be removed. They are a completely different collection, and even have some overlap books such as Treasure Island. If they have their own separate list it would be more useful to collectors who reference it.

Yes. It is a different collection. I feel they should be removed. There are numerous Puffin collections that are distinct in their cover art. If this one is allowed to stay, then all of the others could eventually be added too and this specific list will have no value. It will just be full of repeat publications and collections.

Yes. I completely agree. Those are two different collections and I think they should be kept separately.

This list now contains 9 books that are from a different Puffin series, and some are duplicates from the original series.

I have created a new list that will only contain books from the original Puffin Clothbound Classics Collection. There are currently 23 books in this series.

I’ve created this list so that individuals can search, read, or add to this specific collection without being confused by a list with multiple series. If the original list goes back to the first Puffin Clothbound Classics Collection, then I will delete my list. I don’t think there needs to be two. However, I think it’s important to have one dedicated to only the original series.

I thought the first collection of this series was all wrapped up. Then I stumbled upon a NEW BOOK in a smaller collection. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (ISBN 9780241528334) with a light mint green cover is now available! I found it for at Costco in Ontario, Canada. It came in a collection with A Little Princess, Anne of Green Gables, Black Beauty, The Secret Garden, and The Wizard of Oz (all previously released additions). The collection was $19.99CAD at Costco. I added a link to the collection online as well at a different retailer. Happy hunting!
