If Hemingway wins, I will be glad to re-read a novel I did not quite understand the first time as a young woman.

I'm hoping others would be interested in a buddy read of The Son Also Rises if it doesn't win. The time between September and October is too busy for me to commit to a long read like the Count.

I'm feeling a bit pushed too Brina - but we're all about different options here, so will sort it out between us all, no worries :)

I already couldn't commit to the fiction long read. Between my holidays and baseball I opt for shorter books now. The Count is on my someday maybe list but I would be interested in more Hemingway.

I have The count of Monte Cristo on my tbr but seriously after Les mis I'm going to require a break from mega long books. Jean I'd love a buddy read of Tess if you fancy it?

Ohhh it's tempting, but think I have to say sorry, not at the moment! I'm half way through Our Mutual Friend and hoping to get onto our monster fiction read of Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell too! That's why I haven't voted on this myself ... Maybe suggest it on the buddy reads requests thread though Tracey?

I'm in no rush Jean if you want to join me, I'll fall in with you when you're ready.
