Hi Annette! I just finished Dark Tempest, and it was fantastic! It seems to me that most book series tend to start off amazing and then slowly become less interesting with each new installment, but something I noticed with the Steel and Stone Series, & now with this new series, is that you have an amazing talent for making each book better than the last. What's your secret for keeping the reader reading?

Annette Marie I had to think about this question for a few minutes! I would say there are three factors that really make a difference - planning the plot arc and character arcs, only including the parts of the story that need to be told (vs filler or fluff), and ending the story at the right time. For the latter, I had originally planned six books for the Steel & Stone series, but I dropped it to five when I realized I didn't have enough story for six.
