The Maisie Dobbs books are the first I recommend to friends looking for a new mystery series. I describe them as up there with Dorothy Sayers in the quality of the writing. Maisie is such a complex character with practicing meditation as well as her innate intelligence, perseverance and above all, kindness. She is totally unselfish. Will she ever find personal contentment with a new love interest?

Hi Jacqueline, I am a huge fan of your books. They are so well written and well researched. The characters are utterly compelling that I am thinking about them long after I finish reading the novel. Will you by chance be coming up to the world mystery convention (Bouchercon 2017) in Toronto, Canada in October? It would be wonderful to see/hear you at one of the panels or at least at a signing!!

Outside of the era you have based Maisie in, is there another period in British history that interests you? Or if you were to create an American protagonist ( female of course ) which era would you base her in? P.S: I really do hope they dramatize these one day.
