What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Lynsay Sands Write what they love, and don't write planning to make loads of money. A lot of writer's don't. So make sure you love it for itself. Other than that, don't try to jump on bandwagons or follow trends. Trends in this business pass quickly. By the time you've finished your book it will be passed. Make your own trends. When I started the Argeneaus there were only three writers I knew of doing vamps; Christine Feehan, Laurel K Hamilton and Anne Rice, and no one was writing funny ones. In fact, I was sure readers would hate my funny take because they all seemed to love the darker vamps so much. But they didn't hate them after all, thank goodness, because I have a blast writing them, and I really think that's the important part. If you enjoy writing it, readers will enjoy reading it. At least that's my belief.
