I don't want fame and fortune. I'd like to make a good living as a writer and be proud of what I write. But thinking like J K won't do any harm in the inspirational and confidence areas of creative fiction. That's what I seem to lack sometimes, inspiration and confidence in myself. So imagining ourselves as the next J K Rowling will help, hey?

You must get there with whatever DOES inspire you and if having JK as a role model helps, then that's what works for you. I do want fame and fortune, it's ike a fire inside me. I imagine myself on the red carpet when my children's best selling books have been made into best selling movies! Put being creative and confident into your daily mantra, and say it when you can't be distracted, like when you're in the bath or shower, and your mind will focus on what you are saying aloud or in your head.

I was very like you as a young reader and still love the same type of books but intersperse them with romance and crime fiction. Apart from reading and writing I am also passionate about wildlife and its conservation and all animals. My eldest son is an artist and my younger one a rugby fanantic. They enjoy history, especially the ancient variety. Don't we all wonder when we are going to be the next J.K. Rowling?
