Victoria asked Christopher Paolini:

Whenever I embark on a long-term writing project, I find myself becoming bored and unmotivated after a while. How do you maintain enthusiasm and interest when working on your books?

Christopher Paolini One word: persistence. Writing isn't going to be fun every day and it isn't going to be easy most of the time. The old adage about 99% perspiration/1% inspiration has a lot of truth to it.

Often, I'll sit in front of the computer and just focus on getting one more page done. Listening to music while writing is a helpful tool for me to get inspired or enthusiastic about a scene. Also, if you're writing about something you love or a story you believe in, it can help get through the tough times. You also might enjoy the series of interviews I've done with other authors regarding their writing strategies and experiences: https://www.paolini.net/stuff/guest-a.... Hope that helps!
