A Goodreads user asked Joey W. Hill:

Hi Joey! I have two questions. I don't know if this has been ever asked, but I am rereading Vampire Trinity and there is a small moment where you mention Anwyn holding a butterfly in her hand. That made me think of Selene from Nightfall. Is it just a butterfly (it mentions that butterflies aren't really around at the time) or is it maybe Selene? Also, are you going to be working on any other non-series books?

Joey W. Hill Brittany, my apologies for the delay in answering your question! That would have been a very cool connection between the two books (grin), but no, at the time I wrote that scene with Anwyn, the butterfly was not intended to be Selene. The butterfly in Nightfall was also actually Desiree's idea, my co-author for Quinn and Selene's story. So I can't claim there was even a subconscious connection, though that kind of thing has happened in other books. Like in If Wishes Were Horses, when Justin has a statue of a mermaid and an angel in front of his erotica boutique, and soon after that I wrote A Mermaid's Kiss, about a mermaid and an angel.

When it comes to non-series titles, they have a way of popping up kind of spontaneously. I don’t have any on my radar right now, though you’re correct, there might be some about the side characters that appeared in Medusa’s Heart that could either be standalones or connect to that as a new series, though the characters came from so many different walks of life, I think non-series classification is entirely possible, lol. So long and short, nothing in the chute on the non-series side of things right now, but if ever that changes, you’ll see it come up on the In the Works page on my website, storywitch.com (under the More drop down menu), or I’ll holler out about it on FB, Twitter, or here on Goodreads. Thanks for the questions!
