Just a silly question or two, I just finished the Paladin series (after already reading the Half Orcs) and I was wondering if the dove at the end was Valessa and if so does she make an appearance in Half Orcs?

Question one: Yes.
Question two: No. I wrote the vast bulk of the Half-Orcs before I ever wrote any of the Paladin books, so there was no Valessa to make an appearance. I doubt she'll appear in any of the Half-Orcs stuff. She's more likely to appear in some sort of one-shot Paladin novel than anything.

Mr.Dalgish, I love the Shadowdance series. So far it is the only one I read in full, however, I own the first of the Half-Orc series and plan to read that. I am reading the Shadowdance series over because I enjoyed it so much. My question is and it might have been said in the book but I somehow missed it twice. How old was Alyssa Gemcroft in the beginning of Dance of Cloaks?

First off I love your books! At the moment I'm reading the Shadows of Grace. Second off what would you say to a person going through heartbreak over a relationship they had for a long time? From your words and some characters in the books maybe? For example what would Jerico or Tarlak say?
