Hey Christopher, I am a big fan of your books, they really kick started my reading and writing, thank you so much for that! I was wondering if you planned to write a whole series when you started Eragon or just the single book?

Christopher Paolini Glad to hear you are writing your own projects! I plotted out the Inheritance Cycle prior to starting "Eragon," but had initially planned on making it into a trilogy. By the time I got to the end of "Brisingr," it was very clear that the trilogy needed to become a cycle in order to properly complete the story.
