I absolutely loved your book ‘summer and July’! I really liked the charachter diversity and it was so intriguing I couldn’t put it down!!! (Sorry I get obsessed easily hehe) Do you have any tips for young aspiring authors?

Hello Mirren! Thanks for the kind words! For an aspiring author I would say trust the muse. Put down whatever she puts in your head and figure out where it belongs later. And make sure all the prose sounds right when read aloud, as everything should be written for the ear. Storytelling is an oral tradition! 🙂

I've had several students come to me after enjoying "Train I Ride," and after blurting out the reasons they loved the book, often come back to "But we never find out her real name." I help guide them to the point where they see that it really doesn't matter because that's not the point of the story, not something Rydr feels is necessary to share, and isn't who she really is. Thoughts?
