What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?

Flo Fitzpatrick The two biggest "mysteries" I've experienced in my own life I turned into one book and one short story. I based "Haunting Melody" on some strange events occurring in my Manhattan apartment (I'm still convinced I had a ghost !). And when I was about twelve or thirteen my best friend and I went exploring in the woods behind the Waco State Home and discovered a steamer trunk filled with very old newspapers that included some stories about an unsolved murder. I decided that would make a cool short story....and a few decades later "Treasures" was written. No recent mysteries to speak of except for how I keep donating books to the local library store, yet when I move I still end up with more books than shelves to hold them :)
