One of the reasons I like Crime/Mystery series is that I get comfortable with the characters, I never get enough of the characters I love - like Rebus. Have you considered a prequel, which worked great for the Morse TV character, less well for other stories?

Hadn't thought about prequels until someone nudged me recently. But they would be historical novels, meaning a lot of research. Not sure how I feel about that...

I recently finished a book and self published, a very interesting and amazing experience. Friends, who are amazed that I've done it, ask what's it like, where do you get the inspiration?
