This is an odd question but I am curious. I see you are also Scottish and I am wondering if you think this helps with writing fantasy books? It seems Scots are born story tellers. Were you influenced by family who told stories?

Ruth Emmie Lang Hi Emelia! I think my Scottish heritage probably did play a part in my love of fantasy. I don't remember my family telling me that many fairy tales (although I had a lot of books), but I do remember my grandma saying any time something mildly bad happened that "the fairies did it." She was joking of course, but I liked the way she snuck a little bit of make-believe into every day life.

I am thinking about publishing my children's picture book with Amazon. I know if I do that book sellers like Barnes and Nobles, Walmart, Target etc. Will not have my book on their shelves. Since I've decided to self publish should I worry about that?
