Heya Pen! I was wondering how you go about picking names for your characters. You pick pretty, uncommon names for the majority of them, do you prefer those over popular names? Did any characters have a different name at first? Are there any you wish you used a different name for? :D Thanks!

I tend to favor generally-considered "masculine" or unisex names for my heroines. I named my daughter Aydan, so yeah, it's just who I am. Sometimes the names pop out at me or sometimes I find them on baby name sites.

The male characters' names aren't really unusual, just modern usually. I definitely don't regret any name choices, I don't really put that much thought or time into it, except for Jared. Originally, he was Jeremy. When I started the book, though, it didn't seem to feel natural, so I changed it, literally within seconds of deciding that I didn't like Jeremy for him (although, I do like that name). ;)
